After a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend, I picked today after work to take some pics - after a rain storm. Brilliant idea..... The mosquitos almost carried me away, but I was able to make a turbo pass through the yard.
And here we go.... it's a long one folks. So much is blooming already - this is not normal for Massachusetts so I was unable to contain myself and keep it short.
I was very excited to find two lady slippers growing in my yard this year. One is pink, the other almost white - never seen one like that before:

This section of garden is in the front yard - Clematis Betty Corning & Geranium Johnson's Blue are blooming right now. There are only a few blooms on Betty Corning - and they are small - so you can't really see them here:

Campanula Persicifolia Peach Leaf Bellflower bloomed today! These bloom for a long time if you dead head - tedious job to snip off each individual dead head, but so worth it:
Geranium Rozanne just starting; Peachleaf Bellflower behind the fence and mounds of Dianthus Ideal Mix in the bed across the yard (Can barely see more Peachleaf Bellfower & Foxglove blooming there also):
Circle Flower (which migrated itself from the other side of the fence over the past two years), Clematis Multi Blue & Nelly Moser, Siberian Iris:

Coral Bells Firefly still blooming - they will bloom for quite a long time. The hummingbirds love them too:

This is not a bloom, but is a memorial to my nephew that is set in the bricks to the left of the pool entrance gate (can barely see it in the picture above). We lost him to injuries from a car accident 7 years ago. He was 7 years old:

The lawn chair doesn't really belong there, but it's shady there for most of the day so that is my in-between-garden-chore rest spot. It will move back to it's poolside home soon:

Pink Lupine (yay pink! Last year I had very little pink in the garden):
Lupines - Purple with cool pink/magenta mixed in. These grew from seed I threw here two years ago (same with the pink one above). My lupines have never looked this good (like a lot of my flowers this year - thank you mild winter / very warm & wet spring!):
Snow in Summer is a little beat from the rain, but it's still blooming (another plant having it's best year ever in my yard). Lavendar Blue Scent is planted behind it and should be blooming soon.
I found those torches at a bargain store in my area (Ocean State Job Lot) - they match the planters and look SO cool at night when they're lit and the light reflects off the pool. Alright, I can't help myself again - I'm adding a picture of that too:
