Spring... and frost

April is almost over - only one more day! We actually had snow yesterday - just a dusting, but still..... snow. The plants were not happy campers. The delphiniums keeled over and the tulips were nodding their heads. Thankfully they all were fine by the end of the day. I would have been seriously angry if I had lost them. Especially my delphiniums - I already lost several of the Magic Fountains that were planted outside the pool fence. I have not had much ambition with my seeds this year. I've got a whole pile on the kitchen table that I just can't be bothered to plant. I suppose this may have something to do with working full time and being away for the past 3 weekends. I did winter sow a few things but they are still in the jugs and I have not cut out holes on the top to get them used to the weather. I will take pictures of the yard this weekend. For now, I just have a few that I took yesterday morning while it was snowing

Sun, Blue Sky and a Dry Yard

The rain has finally stopped and other than a few sloppy, squishy spots - the yard is dry! The sun came out this afternoon and it warmed up to about 65. I took a walk around the yard to check out the perennials that have popped up over the past week. I've forgotten what is planted where. I suppose I should label and / or keep better records for next year. I realized today that I am a danger on the road. I have been multi-tasking while I drive, checking out everyone's yard on the way to work every day and watching the road (sort of). I better keep my eyes on the road.
